Photo Description

The picture shows an enclosed green space in between large buildings. It’s a plaza in front of a building but in a much lower level, as we can see there are some stairs. It has a lot of plants and trees and some tables with chairs, which leads us to think that the windows nest to the plaza could be some sort of restaurant or maybe the entrance to some underground stores. Looks like a tranquil shelter in the busy city.

Metaverse

This article is related to the technological advancement of the world, as it provides programs that can evaluate students design and architecture. It can be very useful because of the ease of working at home, without economic costs, works in groups, and eventually teachers will be able to correct proyects via the internet.

Opinion

The advantages we can get from Metaverse is that you can do all your planing and designing of any building from your own computer at home, without having the need of leaving your desk for anything. We can also have endless amount of opportunities to correct our work and make it better without having to dismount any mock ups. It´s also cheaper beacuse we don't have to spend money on materials. To add to all this, Metaverse also works as an excellent tool to teach all the architecture students how to design and build a building.
The only disadvantage that I could find in this system, is that, when students use only virtual systems they can get lost and not see the project as well as if they had it infront of them in a mock up.
In my opinion Metaverse is a system that works perfectly and should be used by any person that involves himself in the architecture world.

CAD and BIM

CAD and BIM are computer programs that facilitate the presentation of a construction project.
BIM is based more than anything in the process of construction. Its function is to analyze the information on the building's life cycle, in addition to studying the functionality of it, including aspects of the construction that are not used in CAD. The latter allows for designs with vectors, to represent the structures, also provides information on materials, dimensions and may represent objects in 2 and 3 dimensions and is based more on the design process, working walls and floors.
